America: The Good Neighbor
By Gordon Sinclair.  Canadian Television Commentator

Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record:

"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.

Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.

When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.

When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by Tornadoes.  Nobody helped.

The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, war-mongering Americans.

I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes?

Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon - not once, but several times - and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.

I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at The lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

Stand proud, America!"

As We All Sit In Our Living Rooms And Watch The Destruction Of New York City And The Pentagon, We Contemplate What Is To Come Next.  I Ask The World To Join With Me And With All Of Our Beloved Bridge Angels, In Prayer For The Victims And Their Families Of This Travesty.  Please Keep Them All In Your Prayers.  Please Pray For The Safety Of Our Servicemen And Women And The Service Men And Women Of Our Allies AsThey Begin Such An Uncertain Journey.  We Also Ask That You Keep In Your Prayers All Of The Beloved Pets That The Victims Have Left Behind, That They Will Find Loving Homes And Loving Foster Parents To Care For Them.

I Have Decided To Put A Collection Of Prayers In This Section Of Rainbow Bridge East, To Honor The Casulties.  We Thank The Passengers Of Flight 93 That Crashed Outside Of Pittsburgh For Voting To Tackle The Terrorists Which Saved The White House.  In My Opinion, They Should Be Given The Congressional Medal Of Honor, Because What They Did Was Active Military Service, Whether Or Not They Were In The Service.  They Truely Did Serve Their Country With Their Lives.   God Bless Them And Give Them And All The Deceased From This Horrid Tragedy A Special Place In Heaven.
Let Us Pray,
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, AMEN.
Friday Night at 7:00 p.m. step out your door, stop your car, or step out of your establishment and light a candle.   We will show the world that Americans are strong and united together against terrorism.  Please pass this to everyone on your e-mail list.  We need to reach everyone across the United States quickly.

The message:  WE STAND UNITED - WE WILL NOT TOLERATE TERRORISM.

We need press to cover this-- we need the world to see.

The 4th plane landed somewhere in Pennsylvania, killing everyone aboard. It was headed here, to Washington, DC where my son and I live. We don't know where it was headed.  Someone, some civilians on that plane took it upon themselves to overcome the terrorists, knowing full well that they would lose their lives in the process, as they did. We will never know how many thousands of lives they saved by their actions.

We pray for all of those who lost their lives yesterday, here in and in New York, but my very special prayer of gratitude goes to those aboard that 4th plane.  They were my guardian angels.

"I call on every American family and the family of America to observe a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, honoring the memory of the thousands of victims of these brutal attacks and comforting those who lost loved ones.  We will persevere through this national tragedy and personal loss.  In time,  we will find healing and recovery; and, in the face of all this evil, we remain strong and united, "one Nation under God."  -- President George W. Bush

              Reunion At Rainbow Bridge
                  Copyright 2001, By Dot Karcher

The Bells Did Chime At Rainbow Bridge On 9/11/01
All Of The Animals Gathered To Pray Beneath The Rising Sun.
A Voice Was Heard Above The Bells A Voice So Sweet And Dear,
The Angels Were Singing, A Mournful Song And The Father's Voice Was Clear.

Hear Me My Children They Heard Him Say, Prepare For A Joyful Feast,
For Some Of Your Parents Are Coming On Home, So Greet Them With Love And With Peace.

For What They've Been Through, They Are Going To Need, The Faces Of Those Gone Before,
The Precious Fur Babies They Lost Long Ago, Who Have Waited For Them On This Shore .

For Now Is The Hour That Some Of You Here, Have Been Waiting For Many Long Years,
They Need You To Be Here And Cuddle With Them And Kiss Away All Of Their Tears.

And When They Arrive, Go And Welcome Them Home To Our Heavenly Place In The Sky,
Where Never Again Will You Part With Your friend, And Nevermore Say Good Bye.

All Of The Residents Of Rrainbow Bridge Danced With Joy At The Thought,
That Some Of Their Mommies And Daddies Were Coming, The Way God Had Always Taught.

For They Always Knew That This Day Would Come, There Never was Any Doubt,
Now They All Knew, That The Teachings Were True Of What God Had Told Them About.

If Only The Mommies And Daddies, Who Were Still Down Upon The Earth
Would Believe That The Bond Between Man And Pet, Was Sealed Long Before Their Birth

Oh God Give Us Strength To Endure What's To Come,
For We Know Not What To Expect,
But Theres One Thing For Sure That We Knew From The Start
That You Would Never Keep Us from Our Pets.

Then The Bridge Side Of Heaven, Grew Quiet And The Angels Began To Unite
The People Were Already Ascending, All Eyes Of The Babies Were Bright.

For Each One Was Waiting So Patiently, For Their Loved Ones They Left Long Ago,
And Together They Paired And Walked over The Bridge, As They Prayed For Us Still Down Below.
